For all of his fifty-year art professional career Dan Fisher has endeavored to make full use of what he considers to be our cultural legacy—namely, the Renaissance and Modernism.
From the Renaissance, Dan feels we were enlightened by extraordinary personal visions of reality and the invention of Linear Perspective. From Modernism, Dan feels we discovered intense modes of expression as well as a cut-to-the-bone reduction of the basic pictorial construct. This can be summed up as having bestowed us with a heightened awareness of: Geometry, Gesture, and Illusion. As artists, it is our job to pursue a meaningful fusion of all three.
